Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…Where to start. Not a good day around the Skipp farm today, or yesterday for that matter. No sports tonight. I’m gonna pur my heart out for you. And if you don’t like it, don’t read any further. Yesterday we ventured out to Muskegon, headin’ to the Getty Four, our middle-of-the-week-drive-in movie hangout. We thought this was gonna be one of the best nights we have had out there since it started. Especially before the movie even started, we had “shy, quiet, and humble” Timmay go over to a couple meat-heads a tell’em to move their pickup truck…needless to say Tim called’em “cocks” and a few other choice words. “Cool” we all thought. That was bad ass T-Bone I’ll give ya that. Then a call came in over Shada’s nextel. It was my brother who was on his way out with Nate. “John we got in an accident,” Josh said. At first John and I thought it was my brother bullshitin’ us as always, but seconds later Josh called back this time with desperation in his voice. My heart dropped into my feet. I can’t recall ever feeling like that ever…helpless. Luckly the crash site was a few miles down the road, so we flew, as much as we could for being in the Kia. We arrived on the scene in what seemed to be seconds. After hoppin’ the barrier we ran towards them. There was about ten people standing round watching these three kids scream in pain. Quite a haunting sight that I will never forget. So many people are affraid to step in and help when there is a crisis, its almost sickening. I still feel like throwing up thinking about running up and seeing that helpless girl, Nate, and Josh just laying on the ground like they had been ambushed. I felt like I was on a battlefield. So of course John and I step right in and take charge, later being assisted by James and Zobro and some other ya-hoo that thought he was Paramedic of the year. But it was nice to see somebody help. And I will never be able to thank my friends enough for all their help. Well all and all Josh and Nate are doing as good as they can be. Josh broke his left arm and Nate dislocated his hip and cut his knee pretty good. The girl (Rachael is her name I believe) on the other hand is in a halo and having a hard time using her hands. But she does have feeling in her feet and throughout her body. So thats a good sign. I hope everyone can keep Rachael in their thoughts and prayers. Also that Nate and Josh can recover to 100% and get back on the field soon. Maybe next season boys. I’m sorry this had to happen to you, I wish every second that it was me. So I’ll take with me my heavy heart to Olivet and try to carry on the football legacy that Josh and Nate have so truly done for years. This season is for them. This is a tribute to the both of them because they may never get to play again. Its a huge bummer, but at least all three are alive, and thats all that matters.
But seriously….I AM BORED…so I thought that since everyone appreciates my love of film that ya’ll would like to see my kick-ass list of top movies to watch. If you are ever bored like I usually am, then watch these.
